2023 Concerts

After the turbulence of the last few years, we can but hope that 2023 marks a return to more settled times. We are certainly pleased that for this year’s programme we have managed to include some new young performers who have not been to Wellhayes before. We have thought quite carefully about the ticket prices for this year in the light of the general financial challenges. The economics of classical musical concerts, particularly for small venues such as ours, are precarious at the best of times; and as it is we manage to convince excellent professional musicians to come down and perform for us for only modest expenses. So, we have concluded that we should raise our ticket prices by a small amount to £20, so that we can try and help the musicians a bit more this year. But at the same time, we are also introducing a wider, heavily discounted, student ticket, for anyone in full-time education, as we are keen to encourage a younger audience. All the money that we raise through the sale of tickets (and usually a little bit more) goes to the musicians.

Details of this years’ concerts are shown below. As in previous years we are delighted that the concerts are once again supported by the Redcliffe Concerts of British Music.
