We are delighted once again to present Music@Wellhayes, a series of concerts at Wellhayes Vineyard running from April to September. We are grateful to the Redcliffe Concerts of British Music for their continued support. Our programme for 2020 once again includes a selection of young, up and coming artists; but, in a year marked by anniversaries, this year also includes some more established musicians, including renowned violinist Krysia Osostowicz and ‘cellist David Waterman. As well as the 250th anniversary of the birth of Beethoven, 2020 is also the 300th anniversary of the composition by Bach of the magnificent Chaconne as part of the D minor Partita for solo violin; and it also happens to be the 20th anniversary of Devon Baroque. All of which we feature in this year’s programme.
In a departure for us, as well as presenting traditional concerts, we have also introduced some music-related events, including poetry and readings, and renowned opera singer Graham Clark talking about his life in opera and giving a workshop with two young professional singers.
We hope you will enjoy this year’s varied selection of events.
